Dunbar Security Solutions has finalized a deal to acquire the assets of Integrity Systems Inc., enabling the Hunt Valley-based company to provide security system installation and service to commercial customers in the Washington, D.C. market.

The technology company, an offshoot of the former Dunbar Armored Inc., said the deal for the Leesburg, Virginia company's assets "adds a robust customer base, a team of skilled security technicians, vehicles and other related infrastructure." Dunbar Security Solutions offers guard and alarm services and electronic security systems to commercial and industrial real estate, high-end residential and corporate campuses.

Kevin Dunbar, who led the sale of the storied Dunbar Armored to rival Brink's Co. for $520 million in 2018, continues to grow both Dunbar Security Solutions and Dunbar Security. Combined, the businesses employ more than 320 people in the mid-Atlantic, including about 250 in Hunt Valley and Essex.

“As we emerge from a period of great uncertainty, it is critical for our organization to reestablish our roadmap to growth in the mid-Atlantic,” said Kevin Dunbar, president and CEO of Dunbar Security Solutions. “This acquisition will afford us to have instant sales and installation assets in a market that is experiencing sustained growth in all sectors.”

The new customers and employees will be managed out of the Dunbar branch offices in Greenbelt and Sterling, Virginia,

“When we opened the D.C. metro branch of Dunbar Guard Services in 2019, we set a goal to duplicate our dual service approach from Baltimore to our presence in the greater Washington region, and we are proud to announce this acquisition to mark the completion of this goal,” said Andrew Maggio, chief operating officer, Dunbar Security Solutions.
