Only Murders in the Building Season 1 ends on humdinger of a cliffhanger. After successfully solving the murder of who killed Tim Kono (Julian Cihi), Mabel (Selena Gomez), Oliver (Martin Short), and Charles (Steve Martin) find themselves accused of murder themselves! It seems that Mabel stabs Bunny (Jayne Houdyshell) in a moment of panic and…a SWAT team descended upon the building to arrest our three fearless true crime podcast fans?!? I still have questions about the Season 1 finale of Only Murders in the Building and I’m going to need a second season to provide answers.

The good news is it seems Hulu is bullish on Only Murders in the Building and has already committed to a second season. The bad news is we’re likely going to have to wait a while for more Arconia adventures to unfold.

Yes! Hulu announced on September 14 that Only Murders in the Building would return for a second season. The first episode of the series was reportedly the most-watched premiere for a Hulu Original comedy ever. So, yes, Only Murders in the Building Season 2 is a go!

According to Steve Martin, himself, filming for Only Murders in the Building Season 1 started on December 3, 2020. Martin later confirmed shooting had wrapped in April 2021. Assuming that Only Murders in the Building will once more film over the winter, we could be looking at another late August, early September 2022 premiere.

What Will Only Murders in the Building Season 2 Be About?

A lot! We still don’t know who texted Oliver and Charles to leave the building or who called the SWAT team to Mabel’s apartment. We might know that Mabel stabbed Bunny, but we don’t know why Bunny was in the apartment wearing a podcast-affiliated hoodie. We do know that Tina Fey’s Cinda Canning will return to host a podcast about the Arconia called “Only Murderers in the Building.”
