All MDOT roadside parks in Upper Peninsula to close for season on October 26

UPPER PENINSULA, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- If you are traveling through the Upper Peninsula during the winter, you won't be able to stop at any of the roadside parks.

The Michigan Department of Transportation announced all 32 roadside parks in the U.P. will be closing for the season on Tuesday, October 26.
All 32 of the parks close in late October every year and reopen in late April.

In addition, the southbound I-75 rest area just north of St. Ignace will close for the season on December 1.
