This past weekend WB released a cool behind-the-scenes video for director James Wan’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. If you haven’t seen that yet, you can check it out here, and you should! It offers us a first look at what this movie is going to deliver. This is such a silly looking character, but I still dig it!

Now today, we have a new photo to share with you and it features Yahya Abdul-Mateen II reprising his role as Mantis and he’s all decked out in his new costume. The image was shared by writer David Johnson-McGoldrick, who said, "I am ridiculously excited to share what we've been working on. Only 14 months to wait."

Abdul-Mateen II previously talked about reprising his role, saying, "Anywhere where he has a device or plot to get back to Aquaman, he's going to use it. So, he can show up wherever. But when he does I hope that we get to see more of his wit and more of the comedic parts of Black Manta and see more of the things that make him [the Black Manta] that I know and the human that the fans, and the people in this universe, have grown to love over the years."

Jason Momoa will be back as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, and he will be joined by Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as King Orm/Ocean Master, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, and Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will hit theaters on December 16th, 2022.
