The bye week could not have come at a better time for this Kentucky Wildcats as they try to get several key players back to 100% throughout the next two weeks before faxing Mississippi State.

Mark Stoops spoke Monday on his call-in show and gave an update on several players who have been out with injuries, including one that was suffered at Georgia on Saturday.

First off, Stoops mentioned that Izayah Cummings is “banged up” and in a sling after taking a hit in the game Saturday. It doesn't appear to be anything major, and he could be ready to go once the team travels to Starkville.

Stoops also spoke to the injuries of Josh Ali and Marquan McCall.

For Ali, Stoops is optimistic of a return coming soon. Overall Ali’s return will be welcomed greatly as he’s the only other receiver alongside Wan’Dale Robinson who can make a solid impact in this new offensive scheme.

In regards to Bully, Stoops said, “we’ll see” as to when he’ll return. If not, Justin Rogers has proven to be a solid option to take over for the remainder of the season.

Stoops also mentioned that JuTahn McClain is a little banged up, but it appears it isn't anything too serious.

With five games remaining in the season, Stoops, the team, and all of Big Blue Nation can taste a double-digit win season. For the Cats to continue to push for that special regular season, these are all key players to ensuring that it happens.
