Brian Baldinger: Mac Jones ‘has everything you are looking for in a top flight quarterback’

Related: It’s hard to win in the NFL. Mac Jones is learning that ‘the hard way.’

The New England Patriots may have suffered another close defeat in Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys, but not all was as bad as the final score of 35-29 might indicate. One of the positives of the overtime contest was, once again, the play of rookie quarterback Mac Jones.

Starting just his sixth NFL game while going up versus one of the best teams in football, Jones completed 15 of his 21 pass attempts for 229 yards as well as 2 touchdowns and 1 interception.

Was he perfect? No, but he played a good enough game to earn some high praise from NFL analyst and long-time player Brian Baldinger. Sharing a video breakdown on Twitter, Baldinger said that Jones “has everything you are looking for in a top flight quarterback” while praising his composure and accuracy in particular.

The Patriots are just 2-4 in the Mac Jones era, but it appears as if they have found their potential quarterback of the future in this year’s draft.
