The Lincoln-Sudbury Boys Soccer team, had some big wins the last few weeks and big performances from some players. On Tuesday, October 5, the Warriors bested Weston High School with a 5-0 win, featuring a hat-trick from senior forward Jack Hughes. Two goals were assisted by senior forward and captain Sean Desmarais, and Jack’s third goal was scored from the penalty spot on a penalty kick.

Later that week, on Friday, the Warriors shut out Westford Academy 4-0, featuring a second hat-trick, this time from senior forward and captain Miguel Rosa. His first goal came from a corner assisted by Desmarais, while his second goal came off of a great shot from senior midfielder and captain, Evan Goetsch, which hit the crossbar and bounced right to Rosa.

Rosa’s third goal came off of good pressure on the Westford back line, as he stole the ball himself and went in on a breakaway. Despite the offensive blowouts, the defense also held up their end of the game, keeping clean sheets in both games, making that four games in a row without conceding a goal.

This comes thanks to senior striker-turned goalie, Jack Braverman, as well as the Lincoln-Sudbury back line, featuring seniors Mika Tums (captain), Riyyan Bhandary, and Edward Morata, and junior Brad Korman.

The Warriors remained undefeated in the Dual County league last week having tied against Concord-Carlisle at home on Tuesday, October 12 followed by another tie at home against Bedford on Friday. Friday’s game celebrated 21 seniors on senior night.
