Pittsburgh Steelers inside linebackers coach Jerry Olsavsky will take a leave of absence from the team after his wife Rayme died.

Rayme Olsavsky, 45, passed away Friday morning, with no cause of death given. The couple has three children.

Olsavsky was not on the sideline for the Steelers’ 23-20 overtime victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night.

“The Pittsburgh Steelers have heavy hearts with the unfortunate passing of Rayme Olsavsky,” the team said in a statement. “Words cannot express our sadness for Jerry and the loss of his wife. We will continue to support Jerry through this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jerry and their entire families.”

Defensive coordinator Keith Butler absorbed the duties of inside linebackers coach Sunday.
