TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Vigo County School Corporation School Board unanimously approved a draft for its 2022 budget.
The proposal will now go to the Department of Local Government Financial for a final inspection.
This proposed budget is smaller than the 2021 budget. Superintendent Rob Haworth said that VCSC is taking a more conservative approach for next year’s plan.
“When you think about what we’re trying to do and we’re trying to right size the district,” Haworth said. “We hope that we put a budget out there that allows that to be a part of our strategy.”
There is no timetable as to when VCSC will receive an amended budget from the DLGF.
