Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy on PC Will Require 150GB of Storage

After seeing a much more in-depth look at Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, it’s very apparent that Eidos-Montreal is putting lot into the title. Not only that, but heavy decision-making will also be a major factor, which means different pathways and different endings. That’s quite a bit, even for a AAA Marvel-related game, which leads us into our newest tidbit of information. The game’s Steam page has gone up, for those who want to play it on PC, and the requirements are all laid out to bare. The most eye-catching aspect of this is the storage requirement, all 150 GB of it.

As you can see in VGC’s tweet above, the amount that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy requires is even more than the juggernaut that was Microsoft Flight Simulator, something that in its physical form required 10 discs. While this amount pales in comparison to other bigger AAA releases in recent years, this one, in particular, has caught the attention mostly due to the other pieces of information from the PC requirements. The processor, graphics card, and even the RAM are all asking for older models, not the newer releases that have been near impossible to obtain.

With all that said, it’s hard to imagine that the game would need to take up that much space on PC. Of course when comparing it to Call of Duty: Warzone, which gobbles up 175 GB by itself, the 150 GB doesn’t seem all that bad. Console owners know this all too well, especially PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S owners, as almost all new titles are well over 100 GB alone. This also more than likely means that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has a huge amount of texture and visual quality, as that tends to be the main reason for such a storage hike. Either way, we won’t be waiting long to find out.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy officially launches on October 26 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
