Kevin Huerter, Hawks Agree To Four-Year Extension

The Hawks and guard/forward Kevin Huerter have agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $65 million, agents Mark Bartelstein and Andy Shiffman told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.<a rel=

Per Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press, the contract is fully guaranteed.

Huerter, 23, is 6-foot-7 and was a key member of the Hawks’ run to the Eastern Conference finals last season, averaging 11.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 69 regular-season games. He did it all while shooting 38 percent on 3-pointers.

The Hawks are set for a long run together, with Huerter, guard Trae Young and power forward John Collins all signing contracts this offseason.

“Huerter, who was chosen 19th overall in the 2018 NBA draft, has started 156 of his 200 games in three seasons with the Hawks,” Wojnarowski noted.
