The Austin-Travis County EMS responded to a collision involving three vehicles and an 18-wheeler in Manor Monday evening.
It happened in the 15300 block of North FM 973 Road at 7:51 p.m.
EMS said there was a vehicle rescue underway involving three patients, with one pinned in one of the vehicles. There was an extraction underway for the patient. EMS later reported the pinned patient was extricated and was declared a trauma alert.
All patients were being prepped for transport and a STAR Flight unit was added to aid the incident.
The adult patient who was declared a trauma alert was transported via STAR Flight to Seton Williamson County with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
A second adult patient was transported to St. David's Round Rock Medical Center with potentially serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The third patient refused transport after being evaluated for minor injuries.
The Travis County Sheriff’s office said FM 973 at Schmidt Loop was closed in both directions due to the collision.
There were expected delays in the area.
The Austin Fire Department and the Travis County Emergency Services District #12 also responded to the incident.
No further details were immediately available.
