Rookie-scale contract extensions for the NBA Draft class of 2018 must be agreed upon by 6 p.m. EST on Monday. Jackson becomes the second bigger name in two days to land a deal, joining Suns small forward Mikal Bridges.

Others such as Suns center Deandre Ayton and Cavaliers guard Collin Sexton are still without extensions. You can check out the full post on Hoops Wire right here.

Jackson, 22, is 6-foot-11 and was selected by the Grizzlies with the No. 4 overall pick. Injuries limited him to just 11 games last season.

He carries career averages of 15.4 points and 4.7 rebounds.

Per Wojnarowski, Jackson has “emerged as a cornerstone player on a gifted, young Grizzlies roster and shown himself to be one of the most versatile and dynamic young big men in the league.”

That said, the Grizzlies would like to see him do a better job on the boards, though you’d never know it by the amount of the extension.
