EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders' Stacey Slater will drop a bombshell on her estranged husband Martin Fowler when she returns to Walford next week.

Lacey Turner has recently returned from maternity leave after giving birth to her second child.

To facilitate her on-screen absence, Stacey has spent the past nine months in prison for a crime she didn't commit, but will be heading back home in upcoming episodes.

Stacey's excited mum Jean plans a party for her return, while Lily reminds Martin that she will be moving home now – leaving him alone.

As the party kicks off, Stacey eventually appears and has a touching reunion with a thrilled Jean and Lily.

While the Slater family are delighted to be reunited at last, Martin feels on edge, especially when Stacey asks to speak to him later.

After the party, Martin opens up to Zack about his feelings for Stacey and is encouraged to try and make a go of it with her.

Taking Zack's advice, Martin decides to reveal his true feelings but Stacey interrupts and drops a huge bombshell.

Fans will have to wait and see what exactly Stacey tells Martin, but her prison friend Eve will be following her to Walford shortly afterwards.

Eve, played by former Waterloo Road star Heather Peace, arrives at The Prince Albert looking for Stacey but eventually finds her in The Vic.

As Stacey introduces Eve to her family, Jean is less than impressed with the newcomer.

EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, October 24 and Friday, October 29 on BBC One.
