The Los Angeles Lakers are gearing for the start of the regular season, and they've done that by bringing a familiar face to join LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Avery Bradley is headed back to the Lakers, the team has announced in a release.

Bradley was a member of the Golden State Warriors during the preseason and fought for a spot on the regular season roster. Unfortunately, he was cut a few days ago. Good thing for him, he was quickly claimed by the Lakers on Monday.

On October 15, the Lakers announced the releases of Chaundee Brown, Joel Ayayi, Cam Oliver, and Trevelin Queen, via Michael Corvo of ClutchPoints.

Those moves allowed the Lakers to create a roster spot for Avery Bradley, who previously played with the Lakers during the 2019-20 season. Bradley will immediately be plugged into a roster that has Talen Horton-Tucker, Trevor Ariza, and Wayne Ellington all out for opening night due to injury. Horton-Tucker and Ariza will actually miss at least six weeks due to their respective injuries.

Bradley averaged 8.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in his 49 appearances with the Lakers, but was unable to join LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the team in the NBA's Orlando bubble due to concerns about COVID-19 and his family.
