The New Orleans Saints are coming off their Week 6 BYE and will have a longer week than normal, as their next game takes place on Monday Night Football in Week 7. It’ll be against the Seattle Seahawks, who are hoping to stay afloat while Russell Wilson is out for the next several weeks.

Up until Week 6, Wilson hadn’t missed a start since entering the league in 2012. He’s the reason the Seahawks have been a team to fear, especially in recent years as the defense has transitioned away from the Legion of Boom to Legion of Mediocrity.

New Orleans is a team still searching for its identity, as they sit at 3-2 with really up and down performances in their first five games. Will they be able to move to 4-2 after a Monday night showdown?

Saints vs Seahawks Odds Week 7

WynnBET has the Saints as a 5.0-point road favorite, which isn’t shocking given the circumstances. Geno Smith played decent enough against the Steelers and helped get Seattle to overtime even if they ended up losing. NOLA’s moneyline grab is set at -240 while Seattle’s is at +185. The over/under is set at 43.0.

Saints vs Seahawks Prediction Week 7

The Seahawks might not have Wilson as their quarterback but this is still a sneaky game. It’s never easy playing in Seattle, as that crowd is always loud and doing their part to make the opposing offense struggle. It could be a difficult environment for Jameis Winston but if the defense does their part in shutting Smith and the Seahawks offense down, New Orleans should be able to win this one.

I predict the Saints win on the road by a score of 30-24.
