The Eagles announced three roster moves as the team starts preparation for a Sunday matchup in Las Vegas against the Raiders.
Eagles Sign WR Deon Cain
The Eagles signed wide receiver Deon Cain to the practice squad on Monday, releasing linebacker Christian Elliss.
Standing 6-foot-2, 202-pounds, Cain is familiar to Head Coach Nick Sirianni as he was Indianapolis’ sixth-round pick in 2018 out of Clemson.
Eagles release Christian Elliss
Ellis was making his second stint with Philadelphia.
Elliss was signed by the Vikings as a rookie free agent out of Idaho. A first-team All-Big Sky selection in each of the past two seasons, Elliss saw his 2020 season wiped out by COVID-19.
Sua Opeta returns
In addition to practice squad maneuvers, the Eagles activated guard Sua Opeta from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday.
Opeta missed the past two games while on the reserve list.
