The Lost City (previously titled 'The Lost City of D'), an upcoming romantic comedy starring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum in the titular roles, has recently got its release date not delayed as one might be expecting with so many release dates having been pushed back in the past two years due to Covid, but actually pushed up a few weeks.

Production for the Paramount film was wrapped back in August of this year. It stars Bullock as a romance writer on a tour with her book’s cover model, played by Tatum. The pair end up being victims of a kidnap attempt which leads them to end up in a dangerous but exciting jungle adventure. Other members of the cast include Patti Harrison, Oscar Nunez, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, and Daniel Radcliffe. The film is directed by Aaron and Adam Nee, with Bullock executive producing via Fortis Films, and written by Seth Gordon and Dana Fox.

Back in October 2020, it was rumored that Tatum’s role would be going to Ryan Reynolds. However, it didn’t come to pass and Tatum was confirmed to be the other leading star in December.

Previously scheduled to premiere on April 15 of next year, The Lost City now has its premiere date set for March 25. The reason for this change was due to the fact that the weekend of April 15 coincided with the opening weekend for the third installment of Warner Bros’ Fantastic Beasts, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. To avoid this, the romantic comedy has claimed the weekend of March 25, 2022, which does not have any other major feature debut scheduled.
