What Nine Perfect Stranger’s Tiffany Boone Is Wearing This Fall

If you’ve watched Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers—and if you haven’t, what are you waiting for?—you’re familiar with Delilah, played by Tiffany Boone. The plot follows nine city dwellers who escape to a Californian resort called the Tranquillum House, where a wellness guru named Masha, played by Nicole Kidman, claims she can cure any of their hardships or grievances. Delilah works at the resort, and the story centers on her relationship with fellow employee Yao (she also has a fling with Masha—it gets messy). “There were so many actors in it that I’ve been a fan of for so long,” says Boone of starring in the ensemble cast, which also included Melissa McCarthy, Regina Hall, and Michael Shannon.

Boone cemented her status as one of Hollywood’s stars to watch after appearing in the show. Reflecting on the project, which was shot in Australia back in 2020, Boone says being a part of it was more than just a promising acting gig. It helped fuel her creativity at a time when our lives were filled with so much uncertainty. “I got cast two days before I started shooting, then hopped on a plane to Australia,” Boone says. “It was a little scary getting back into the world, and going across the globe. But it was such a blessing: We were able to work in a global pandemic, meet this incredible group of artists, and live in the most gorgeous place.”

Boone now has an exciting new job for the fall. The star has been tapped to star in a Lafayette 148 campaign, modeling their new resort 2022 collection. Perfect for the holiday season, the collection includes sequined slip dresses and sleek tuxedo blazers. “I was drawn to the classic, luxurious vibe,” says Boone. “[The line] has really luxe fabrics and bold, deep colors. There’s an ease to it.” She adds that she also admires creative director Emily Smith’s brand ethos. “The clothes are all about making a woman feel sexy for herself—not for the male gaze,” Boone says.

Her own style leans eclectic, and for fall she’s currently eyeing “anything croc,” and has been gravitating toward autumnal hues for fall. “I’ve been obsessed with rich browns, dark oranges, tans,” she says. “I’m also all about comfort right now. There’s this cashmere set from Lafayette that I’m obsessed with. It makes you feel very rich.”

As her Hollywood star keeps rising, Boone says she also looks forward to experimenting with more fashion on the red carpet. “I wear really bold colors [on the carpet], whereas in my everyday life, I generally stick to a more neutral palette,” says Boone of her elevated carpet style. She’s even gotten advice from a certain fashion A-lister on how to nail the step and repeat. “One of my style icons is Tracee Ellis Ross, and she told me, ‘do not take yourself too seriously. Just have fun. Do the wild, unexpected thing,’” says Boone. “People don’t get to have enough fun on the red carpet because they’re trying to look perfect.”

As for what’s next for Boone, post-Nine Perfect Strangers? She says she’s keeping her options open for that next big assignment. “I’m not a person that necessarily has a specific character and projects in mind,” says Boone. “I just continue to ask the universe to present things that feed me artistically, and that hopefully have something important to say or give to the world.” She does, however, have her sights set on something new: Producing. “I haven’t found the perfect thing yet, but I feel like I’ll just know [it's right] when I see it,” says Boone. “I really trust my gut.”
