EastEnders spoilers follow.
Janine and Liam Butcher's new criminal plot is already on the verge of being foiled in the first look at Tuesday's EastEnders.
The soap has unveiled several new photos showing Billy Mitchell overhearing Janine and her nephew secretly plotting to run a scam at the car lot.
Billy, who had vouched for Janine after she returned to Walford, will be furious as he demands to know everything she's up to. Viewers will have to watch to find out whether Janine confesses her plan.
Liam's true motive for returning to Walford was finally revealed in Monday's EastEnders episode as he confessed to Aunt Janine that he'd run into money troubles.
Janine happened to walk in on Liam trying to stage a burglary, so she intervened to help him come up with a more slippery way for them to get the cash they both need.
She encouraged her nephew to get her a job at Jay's car lot. Once she was working for Jay, they could run a scam where Liam steals cars and Janine sells them off on the black market.
It will be up to Liam's powers of persuasion to manipulate Jay, yet it will be an uphill battle since nobody in Walford trusts Janine because of her dodgy past.
Upon her return to the soap, Charlie Brooks hinted it wouldn't be long before Janine was back to her old ways once she returned to Albert Square.
"With her put downs and her wit, the writers have done a brilliant job so far of writing for her," she told Digital Spy.
"I read the scripts and go: 'Oh my God, can she say that? Oh my God, I love it!' So it's fun and that's what I'm excited about exploring with her, as well as all of the layered stuff that goes on underneath.
"As human beings, we grow and evolve all the time and we all really want to connect with that inner child and unlocking that part of us, whether that's for better or for worse is always a really interesting thing to explore. Being honest about who we are and what we want and how we go about getting it, and I think that could be quite exciting for her."
EastEnders will air Liam and Janine's conspiring on Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
