Health officials in Rhode Island reported on Monday one additional COVID-19 death and 647 new cases since the last report.
Of the 647 newly reported cases, 618 were reported on Friday (302), Saturday (178), and Sunday (138).
The other 29 were added to previous dates.
That brings the total number of recorded cases to 177,052, according to the Rhode Island Department of Health.
The known death toll rose to 2,861.
One death was recorded on Friday, according to state data.
RIDOH says there are currently 106 people hospitalized because of the coronavirus.
Of those hospitalized, 16 are in the ICU and 9 are using ventilators.
On Sunday, the state administered 4,726 tests with a positivity rate of 2.9%.
The health department says there are currently 729,227 Rhode Islanders who have completed their primary vaccine series.
Another 63,304 are partially vaccinated.
