Whether you choose to visit in the sun-drenched heights of summer or steal away from the cold British climes for a bit of winter warmth, a break in the Algarve is always going to be a good idea. Now that we’re able to travel once more, we’re giving you the opportunity to win a three-night stay in one of Portugal’s most exquisite hotels: Vila Vita Parc Resort & Spa. You and a guest will be put up in one of the suites for a spoiling stay that includes daily breakfast, an evening supper in one of the hotel’s restaurants, and a seasonal experience to show you the very best that the area has to offer.

The prize includes return flights for you and one guest from the UK to Faro, so all you need to concern yourself with pre-departure is packing your suitcase (and checking Covid restrictions, of course). Upon arrival, an airport transfer will meet you and drive you to the hotel, which sits in a prime position on that iconic Algarve coastline made up of tiny fishing villages speckled along low cliffs and secret sandy coves.

One of the hotel’s best suites will have been prepared for your arrival. Each one features a spectacular view of either the coastline or the flourishing gardens and modern, understated interiors featuring a little local flair; you’ll spot little details such as Portuguese tiles, local artworks, and colourful Moorish-style furnishings that create a warm, elegant space that’s ideal for relaxation.

Your entire stay, in fact, will be centred on unwinding and exploring the best of the Algarve whether lazing by the pool with a good book, strolling down towards one of the pretty local beaches, or taking a day trip to discover the coastline and neighbouring towns. As well as a daily breakfast, your stay also includes a trip to one of the hotel’s in-house restaurants (there are seven in the resort and four outside) for supper, where you’ll find a range of diverse cuisines such as Moorish-inspired grilled meats, Japanese sushi, Portuguese small plates, and even Bavarian dishes; the one thing all the menus have in common is the focus on fresh, local ingredients, including the seafood the area is known for.

You’ll also have a chance to try out one of the activities organised by the hotel, each of which gives a unique glimpse into the area’s local history and culture – or simply makes for a great holiday memory. Perhaps you’ll venture out to the sea caves via boat to explore, have a treatment in the spa, or go wine-tasting in Vila Vita Parc’s vast cellar; with more than 1,200 to choose from, it’s Portugal’s largest private wine cellar and the sommeliers will be happy to take you through their favourite vintages.
