Kate Middleton stuns in Alexander McQueen dress from 10 years ago

Kate Middleton brought back an old fashion favorite for Saturday’s Earthshot Prize Awards in London.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 39, hit the green carpet wearing a lavender Alexander McQueen gown last seen on the royal at a July 2011 BAFTA event in Los Angeles, just three months after her wedding to Prince William.

The Grecian-style design was a fitting pick for the environmentally-focused Earthshot Prize ceremony, where five winners were recognized for their conservation and sustainability efforts. Guests were asked not to buy anything new to wear to the event.

Ten years after debuting the dress with a sparkling white belt, Middleton put a new spin on the style by cinching her waist with a glittering gold version instead.

The Duke of Cambridge, 39, also followed the evening’s dress code by shopping his own closet, choosing a green velvet jacket he last wore in 2019 for a gala celebrating Centrepoint’s 50th anniversary. He styled it with a black turtleneck and trousers for a fresh twist.

Recycling styles is nothing new for Middleton; she’s held on to her favorite boots for nearly two decades, and we’ve seen her rewear everything from coats to gowns to even her engagement blouse over the years.
