On a second-and-7 situation from his own 35-yard line, Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields rolled out to the left after a play-action fake. Receiver Allen Robinson was streaking wide open down the middle of the field, and it looked like Fields might have a chance to find him with a deep ball after evading Packers defensive lineman Kenny Clark and stepping up in the pocket.

But after cocking his arm back as if he was going to fire a pass deep, Fields instead kept scrambling forward for seven yards. After the game, Fields explained his thought process on the play.

"He's usually running off the corner on that,” Fields said of Robinson. “But that's a naked play and I just pulled up because the (defensive) end was up field. But that play is not designed to go to him.”

In a follow-up question, Fields was pressed on why he didn’t throw the ball if Robinson was so wide open. Robinson was waving his hand on the play to signal for the ball.

"That's a naked play, and my eyes aren't supposed to go there,” Fields said.

The Bears came up emptyhanded on that drive before halftime and lost the game 24-14. Robinson had four catches for 53 yards.
