Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was confirmed earlier this month, with a teaser trailer. Rockstar didn’t reveal much about the games, except for the fact that they will release it later this year on major platforms. The company also revealed ports for Android and iOS will be released early next year.

The upcoming trilogy has been a victim of several leaks. The game was leaked early by multiple sources. All the game’s achievements have also been leaked on the GTAForums. The same source, “alloc8or,” which revealed the achievements, has leaked the PC system requirements of the trilogy.

PC Requirements

The requirements are very high, even higher than GTA 5. This can mean two things: either Rockstar released a proper remaster, or these remasters are somewhat unoptimized. I guess time will tell which is true.

We have mentioned the leaked PC requirements below.

Minimum Requirements

  • Intel Core i5-2700K/AMD FX-6300
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 2 GB/AMD Radeon R9 280 3 GB
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 45 GB Storage Space
  • Windows 10

Recommended

  • Intel Core i7-6600K/AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4 GB/AMD Radeon RX 570 4 GB
  • 16 GB RAM
  • 45 GB Storage Space
  • Windows 10

Upgrades

The leaker, “alloc8or,” also revealed what seems like the official description of the remasters.

The comment mentioned: “Across-the-board enhancements including brilliant new lighting and environmental upgrades, high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V -style controls and targeting, and much more, bringing these beloved worlds to life with all new levels of detail."

This seems good and all, but it doesn’t tell us what was removed. Given Rockstar’s history, I am sure some content, like radio songs, might be removed. I hope I am wrong but I am probably not.

So what do you think? Are you excited about GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition? Are you planning to pre-order the game or will you wait for reviews? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
