Eileen Davidson Reveals She Had PTSD After 'RHOBH', Defends Erika Jayne Following Death Threats: 'She's Being Vilified'

Eileen Davidson doesn’t have many good things to say about her time on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The 62-year-old actress revealed in a recent interview that her stint on the reality show proved to have a negative effect on her mental health.

“I tell you, it’s very stressful,” she said on the “Behind The Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast regarding her time on RHOBH. “I think I had PTSD for quite a while after that.”

Yontef told Davidson that other housewives from the Bravo franchise have also mentioned having post-traumatic stress disorder to him as well.

“You’re in an alternate universe," Davidson explained in the new podcast episode, which aired on Monday, October 18. “And I cared about a lot of things that I didn’t care about before or after I was on the show."

“I wasn’t present in my own life anymore,” she told Yontef. “I was present with this other universe and all the BS that was going on in that universe...There was always a problem. It was crazy.”

The Days of Our Lives alum also revealed that she had insomnia during her time on the hit reality show and that she was “getting sick a lot.”

Davidson also admitted that she feels “emancipated” after leaving the show: “For me it was just a super, super stressful thing."

Yontef also took the opportunity to ask the Young and the Restless actress about her take on Erika Jayne, who has been the center of a media circus due to her ongoing legal troubles.

“It’s a horrible situation,” Davidson said, expressing that she feels bad for Jayne, who has been receiving death threats in regards to the damning allegations that she was involved in her ex-husband Tom Girardi’s embezzlement scheme.

“Her life being threatened is such bullsh*t,” the former reality star told Yontef. “I don’t care what you think or even what you’ve done, nobody knows the whole story. That’s a game changer and it's not okay. It’s just not okay.”

“The fact that these people think they have the right to do that is so offensive to me. It’s just wrong and she’s being vilified and she chose to stay on the show. So that’s part of the problem," she continued. "However, you got to draw the line somewhere and that’s just not okay.”

OK! previously reported that Jayne has been planning to exit the Bravo franchise in the midst of her messy legal woes. “She feels what she needs most is a long vacation — as far from L.A. as possible, so she can figure where to go from here,” an insider said at the time.
