A 63-year-old Detroit man died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday afternoon in Southfield.
Police were summoned at 3:48 p.m. Oct. 17 to the area of Northwestern Highway and Telegraph Road.
Police in Southfield are asking for any potential witnesses to reach out to investigators. Anyone with information should call Southfield police at 248-796-5500.
“Drugs or alcohol is not believed to be a factor,” police said in a statement. “The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.”
The man was treated by emergency responders at the scene and then was transported to an area hospital; however, he was pronounced dead after arrival.
