Family-Run Vietnamese Restaurant Lilly's Cafe Is Still a New Orleans Staple 10 Years Later

Our series celebrating the best neighborhood restaurants across the countryas chosen by you, continues! Next up, discover Lilly's Cafe, a family-owned Vietnamese restaurant in New Orleans recommended by Marisa and Brian. "When you think of New Orleans, you might not necessarily think of Vietnamese food, but it's really good comfort food," Marisa says. 

"I love food and I love serving people. And I want to present my culture, my food, to the people," says owner Trinh "Lilly" Vuong. "It's just a wonderful atmosphere in our restaurant, that love. I do everything from my heart." 

"New Orleans has an amazing amount of food overall, and so even to pick our favorite restaurant was really tough. But her quality ingredients and the delicious recipes are why we love it so much," Marisa adds of Trinh. "I think her following and the customer service that she's provided over these many years really shows her commitment to the community, and the community has committed to her."
