Oct. 22 will mark the 100th anniversary of the return of the remains of World War I veteran Peter F. Galligan to his hometown of Aspen. Peter was killed in action, in the Argonne Forest on Nov. 4, just a week before the end of the first world war. On this Veterans Day, let us continue to remember and honor all those who have served in our armed forces. We must especially honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
