Paula Kelsey, woman last seen in Berkshires, still missing after weekend of searching by police

Police in Western Massachusetts are still searching for Paula Kelsey, a 77-year-old woman in an “altered mental state” missing since Friday in the Berkshires.

Kelsey, Adams police said Friday night, is likely to be very confused. She was last spotted on Richmond Hill Road in Cheshire at roughly 7:30 a.m. Friday.

On Sunday, troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Special Emergency Response Team, which specializes in missing persons searches, joined local police and Berkshire Mountain Search and Rescue in searching the area of Stafford Hill Road, the area Kelsey was last spotted.

But despite the efforts of more than 30 police and firefighters, Kelsey was not found, the state police said Sunday night. The search focused in the area she was last spotted, including Richmond Hill Road, Stafford Hill Road, North Street, Orchard Street and Bellevue Cemetery.

Kelsey was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black leggings with black lace and white shoes. Her hair is dyed red.

The Adams Police Department is asking anyone with information on her location to call 413-743-1212 ext. 0.
