Giants-Rams Week 6: Offense, defense and special teams snap counts

The New York Giants were manhandled by the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6, falling by a score of 38-11 in front of the few fans who remained at MetLife Stadium.

The loss drops the Giants to 1-5 this season and for a team with playoff aspirations, should start the ball rolling on some much-needed house cleaning.

But before we get into all of that, here’s a look at the snap counts that contributed to yet another Giants loss.

Offensive snaps: 75
Defensive snaps: 66
Special teams snaps: 27

Most notably, quarterback Daniel Jones took 100 percent of the offensive snaps despite the blowout nature of the game. He insisted his concussion seven days earlier wasn’t nearly as bad as it seemed, but the overall risk seems significant.

Defensively, safety Logan Ryan missed quite a few snaps and it wasn’t due to injury. He has not played well this season and that trend continued on Sunday.

It’s also surprising to see that rookie edge rusher Azeez Ojulari took 62 percent of the defensive snaps. You never would have known he even took the field.
