Prince Avenue QB Aaron Philo selected the Week 9 Athens-area player of the week
Prince Avenue Christian quarterback Aaron Philo claimed a heated race for this Week 10 Player of the Week honors.
In Prince Avenue Christian’s 61-0 victory over George Walton, Philo was 16-of-17 passing for 328 yards and six touchdowns.
The sophomore scored 36.5% of the 1,280 votes cast. He nudged ahead of Clarke Central teammates Lucian Anderson (22.4%) and Eli Warrington (22.2%) who combined for three touchdowns through the air in the Gladiators' record-breaking performance last Friday.
Player of the week voting will be open from Monday mornings until Wednesday at 8 p.m. throughout the regular season and the winner will be revealed Thursday morning.
