Prince Avenue QB Aaron Philo selected the Week 9 Athens-area player of the week

Prince Avenue Christian quarterback Aaron Philo claimed a heated race for this Week 10 Player of the Week honors.

In Prince Avenue Christian’s 61-0 victory over George Walton, Philo was 16-of-17 passing for 328 yards and six touchdowns.

The sophomore scored 36.5% of the 1,280 votes cast. He nudged ahead of Clarke Central teammates Lucian Anderson (22.4%) and Eli Warrington (22.2%) who combined for three touchdowns through the air in the Gladiators' record-breaking performance last Friday.

Player of the week voting will be open from Monday mornings until Wednesday at 8 p.m. throughout the regular season and the winner will be revealed Thursday morning.

In North Oconee’s 56-0 victory over East Hall, Brice ran for two touchdowns. 

Sam Bush, Athens Academy

In Athens Academy’s 44-10 victory over Loganville Christian, Bush ran for five touchdowns. 

Aaron Philo, Prince Avenue Christian

In Prince Avenue Christian’s 61-0 victory over George Walton, Philo was 16-of-17 passing for 328 yards and six touchdowns.

Jeff Roberts, Apalachee

In Apalachee’s 42-0 victory over Johnson-Gainesville, Roberts had three rushing touchdowns. 

Bailey Stockton, Prince Avenue Christian

In Prince Avenue Christian’s 61-0 victory over George Walton, Stockton caught two touchdown passes. 

Aidan Thompson, Winder-Barrow

In Winder-Barrow’s 35-7 victory over Central Gwinnett, Thompson rushed for four touchdowns, all in the first half. 

Eli Warrington, Clarke Central

In Clarke Central's record-setting 76-34 victory over Greenbrier, Warrington had seven catches for 153 yards and three touchdowns.

Max Wilson, North Oconee

In North Oconee’s 56-0 victory over East Hall, Wilson threw a touchdown pass and ran for another touchdown.
