PSG Ready To Offer Mauro Icardi For Barcelona Star

PSG Ready To Offer Mauro Icardi For Barcelona Star

Icardi isn't one of Paris Saint-Germain's first team picks for Mauricio Pochettino and they're ready to trade him in for a Barcelona star.

Mauro Icardi could be set to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window, as PSG eye a swap deal for a Barcelona star.

Icardi's time in the French capital hasn't been great, with the former Inter striker scoring just 22 Ligue 1 goals in his three years at the club, and starting most of his games from the bench.

Off the pitch things are great for the Argentina striker either right now, with a potential split with his wife Wanda Nara being played out over social media.

There could be a change of scenery for the 28-year-old soon enough though, with reports in Spain that PSG are ready to swap him in a huge deal.

According to El Nacional, the Ligue 1 giants want to bring Sergio Aguero to the Parc des Princes and are interested in a straight swap deal with Barcelona, that would see Icardi go in the opposite direction.

Aguero is a new signing to the Nou Camp, having only joined the club in the summer following the end of his contract at Manchester City.

The 33-year-old finally made his debut on Sunday, when he came on as a late substitute in the team's 3-1 win over Valencia, having been injured since the summer.

Aguero joined Barca in order to play alongside long time friend Lionel Messi, before the six time Ballon d'Or winner's situation at the club became clear and he had to leave for Paris.

Messi hasn't completely settled at PSG yet, and is yet to score in the league, and the signing of Aguero would only help his happiness at the new club.

For PSG it would also likely be an improvement in their back up to the front three of Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, considering Icardi has never really looked at home since his move from Italy.

Icardi, who initially moved from Inter Milan on loan, has been linked with a return to Serie A in the past, most notably with Juventus.

The controversial striker is also one of the many players recently linked with Newcastle United, since their takeover made them the richest club in the Premier League.

With troubles on and off the pitch, now could be the perfect time for him to move away from PSG.
