Ladies and gentlemen, what you see is what you get and what the Denver Broncos are getting is a whole lot of not much.

For the third week in a row, Denver showed up to a game grossly unprepared to play and for the third week in a row, they got their butts handed to them with a big beautiful bow in a basket.

Rule Number 1: You must never lose to the Raiders.

As the win streaks and records for success have all collapsed into heaps of burning wreckage these past few years, it’s apparent that those charged with upholding the long-established standards for play either don’t have the ability to do it anymore or just don’t have the want to. Either way, it’s an unacceptable embarrassment.

Nobody should be safe.

As spats of finger-pointing break out on social media over awful quarterback play, it’s important to keep in mind that both guys, Lock and Bridgewater, can only play within the scheme given to them.

...and the scheme sucks.

On Sunday, both sides of the ball looked lost and unprepared. Vic Fangio’s defense, was incapable of pressuring or corralling an offense desperate to rebound from the fallout of one of the worst coaching scandals in recent NFL history. I ask you, if your defensive mastermind can’t stop the Raiders, what good are you? If you can’t keep your eye on the number one rule of Broncos Country, why should you be allowed to stay?

It’s not going to get any better.

As CEO Joe Ellis continues into year of 7 of his metamorphosis into Matt Millen 2.0, we shouldn’t expect anything different. With so little to point to after the departure of Peyton Manning, the standards have fallen so low that we should just be content he’s not stripping the copper piping out of the facility or melting down the trophies for scrap. Without any checks or balances from ownership, Ellis has settled in as the supreme grifter of Broncos Country.

How many NFL CEOs get to enjoy 6-years of failure totally unscathed? It’s not up for debate that Joe Ellis sucks at his job. It’s past time that people tell him since there isn’t an owner to do it for us. When standards don’t exist at the top, it’s foolish to expect anything different on down the line. Sunday’s loss to a spiraling Raiders team wasn’t an aberration. It was another broadside shot at the legacy of the Denver Broncos. To go out there on a day when you honor Coach Shanahan and Steve Atwater and just completely crap your pants like that?

You ought to be ashamed. All of them. All of us certainly are. What an absolute disgrace.
