Pedestrian hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck near NC State, police say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- One person is in the hospital after being struck in Raleigh overnight.

Raleigh police said a driver was traveling southeast on Varsity Drive and made a right turn onto Crest Road when a pedestrian ran northwest across the street where there was no crosswalk or intersection.

The driver stuck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
