Sunday's win marked a huge occasion for the Las Vegas Raiders following all the drama that has been brought about by the Jon Gruden situation. Following their 34-24 win over the Denver Broncos, Derek Carr took the stage to offer a bit of a rallying cry for the entire Raiders Nation.

Carr highlighted the importance of the victory after what was a tumultuous week for the entire organization (h/t Paul Gutierrez of ESPN):

After a handful of his misogynistic, homophobic, and racist emails to former Washington Football Team general manager Bruce Allen were leaked, Jon Gruden decided to step down as the Raiders' head coach. The Raiders were dragged into the middle of the scandal along with Gruden, and naturally, there were concerns about how this major issue would impact their play.

The good news for the Raiders is that they managed to secure a much-needed win on Sunday. Derek Carr stepped up for his team when it mattered most, finishing with 18-of-27 completed passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns.

The 4-2 Raiders return to action on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, and as Carr said in his strong message, the team's leaders will need to be at their very best to hold things down for Las Vegas.
