A.J. Green scores vs. Browns; Kareem Hunt suffers injury

It’s been a rough day for the Cleveland Browns, one that former Cincinnati Bengals star A.J. Green added to.

Late in Cleveland’s Week 6 game vs. the Arizona Cardinals, Green hauled in a 14-yard touchdown pass that put his team up 37-14. He finished the game with a team-high 79 yards on five grabs and the one score as Arizona remained the NFL’s only unbeaten team at 6-0, while Cleveland dropped to 3-3.

Green obviously gave the Browns plenty of nightmares during his 10-year career with the Bengals, which saw him catch 72 passes for 1,064 yards (14.8 avg) and seven scores in 15 games vs. that other Ohio team.

The 33-year-old Green is now up to three scores this season after having just two in his final season in Cincinnati, though it’s pretty clear that, thanks to Ja’Marr Chase, both sides are doing perfectly fine following their separation.

While it’s nice to see the Bengals great continue to do well, the real story coming out of this game is star running back Kareem Hunt going down with what appeared to be a serious injury.

In the second half, Hunt suffered a non-contact calf injury that led to him being helped off the field by trainers, and he was unable to put any weight on the injured leg.

Making matters worse is Cleveland is already without Nick Chubb, who is inactive after not practicing this week due to a calf injury.

You never want to see this happen to any player for any team, so here’s to hoping it’s not as serious as it looks and Hunt is able to play again this season.
