Illinois State soccer's Haley Glover charging down field against drake in the Redbirds 0-0 tie in the final home game of the season.

In Illinois State’s final home game of the regular season, the Redbirds recorded a physical 0-0 draw against conference foe Drake that ended with 34 fouls between the two teams.

Through much of the first half, possession was passed around evenly, but neither team was able to get a good look, with only three total shots on goal through the first 30 minutes.

Near the end of the half, however, Drake was able to get some good looks but could not find the back of the net. ISU goalie Priya Gillan recorded four saves in the first half and would finish with six total.

The second half featured much more aggression and plenty of opportunities for both teams.

Despite plenty of good looks late in regulation, neither team was able to break the scoreless tie, forcing the Redbirds' second overtime in eight days.

In the first extra time, the Redbirds held the ball for the majority of the time.

A good look from sophomore Hannah Bradley-Leon was turned away by an impressive save from Drake goalie Kelsie Stone late and kept the match scoreless, forcing a second extra period.

The second extra period featured much of the same, with some great looks from both teams that could not find the back of the net, giving the Redbirds their second draw of the season.

The Redbirds led in shots 18-17 and tied in shots on goal 6-6 in what was overall a very even match. Senior Sarah Lafayette led ISU with five shots including two shots on goal.

ISU head coach Brad Silvey declined to comment after the tie.
