Here's what Drew Lock's dad tweeted during the Broncos-Raiders game

The Denver Broncos’ offense hasn’t had much success through the air in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, but their rushing attack has been productive.

So it was a curious decision when the Broncos decided to throw the ball on a 4th-and-1 situation at their own 37-yard line instead of running it. Denver’s attempt failed when quarterback Teddy Bridgewater threw an interception.

Seemingly everyone in Broncos Country agreed that offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur should have called a run play. Even quarterback Drew Lock’s father, chimed in on Twitter.

At the time of Lock’s tweet, Melvin Gordon had rushed four times for 23 yards (5.75 yards per carry) and Javonte Williams had two carries for 14 yards (seven yards per carry). Shurmur should give both backs more carries in an effort to get something going on offense.

At the time of his writing midway through the second quarter, the Broncos are currently trailing the Raiders 10-7.
