The Buffalo Bills will look to win their fifth game in a row when they travel to Nashville to play the Tennessee Titans. Last week, the Titans defeated the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars 37-19 on the back of a 130 yard performance from star running back Derrick Henry. The win improved the Titans’ record to 3-2.

2021 has been an up and down season so far for the Titans. They started with a blowout loss to the Arizona Cardinals, then they proceeded to win their next two before being stunned by the New York Jets.

After their win in Jacksonville last week, the Titans already have a two game lead in the AFC South that will seemingly keep growing, regardless of how the Titans perform week to week. The Tennessee offense currently ranks tenth in the NFL in both points and yards. That number is an average of Tennessee’s 27th ranked passing offense, and third ranked rushing offense.

A sign of the passing game struggles that the Titans have endured is the drop in Ryan Tannehill’s passer rating this season. Tannehill’s passer rating is currently 89.5. When you compare that to his 2019 and 2020 numbers of 117.5 and 106.5 respectively, the drop off is clear.

Buffalo’s offense tops the league in points scored. The Buffalo offense tallied 436 total yards of offense against the Chiefs, with Allen throwing for 315, and a team rushing total of 121 yards. Josh Allen was absolutely on fire against Kansas City, and reinserted himself into the MVP conversation. Allen and Dawson Knox maintained their momentum that they have been building, connecting three times for 117 yards and a score.

The Bills defense continued to build upon its early season momentum by forcing four turnovers against one of the league’s premier offenses. Greg Rousseau was fantastic against Kansas City, registering a sack, an interception, and a pass defensed. Micah Hyde also continued his ball-hawking ways against the Chiefs, intercepting Patrick Mahomes and running it back 26 yards for a touchdown. The pick-six was Hyde’s third interception of the season. Taron Johnson was another key contributor for the Buffalo defense, registering 12 combined tackles against the Chiefs.

The Bills and Titans are two division leaders who have had very different start to the 2021 team. The Bills have been absolutely on fire since Week 1, while the Titans are struggling to find their stride.

Final Score Prediction: Buffalo Bills 31, Tennessee Titans 20

The Bills are definitely a better team than the Titans, and it would be a disappointing effort for the AFC East leaders. The Buffalo Bills will defeat the Tennessee Titans by a score of 31-20.
