Tamarac Crime Update: Victim Bitten During Strongarm Robbery

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through October 11, 2021.

Aggravated Battery

Commercial Blvd.

A man was the victim of an Aggravated Battery on 10/05/2021. The victim advised he was stabbed by the suspect for no apparent reason. The suspect stayed on the scene and was charged with attempted murder.

Battery

Commercial Blvd.

On 10/06/2021, a victim was sprayed with pepper spray by a guest after the victim advised the guest they could not extend their room rental and they needed to vacate the hotel.

On 10/04/2021, two males who lived as a couple got into an argument. At least one of them sustained minors lacerations to the head and mouth. The reporting person did not report the incident until several days later.

Information

NW 93rd Ter.

On 10/06/2021, the reporting person claimed a family friend was going into their residence and had put a plastic bag containing ammunition near a handgun in a bedroom drawer. The reporting person claims nothing is missing, only that this individual is coming into their residence without permission. The reporting person has no proof to support the allegations being made.

University Dr.

On 10/11/2021, a person reported that his girlfriend’s brother threatened to beat him up the next time he saw him. The threat was through a voicemail on his phone. It was a long-distance call.

Robbery

NW 59th Ct.

On 10/09/2021, deputies met with a victim who said a man she had been intimate with came back to her home and stole her iPhone XR. BSO Robbery Unit was notified and responded to the scene.

N. State Rd. 7

On 10/09/2021, deputies were dispatched about a delayed strongarm robbery in which the victim was bitten and money taken from her. Tot. Est. Loss: $40.

Theft

N. Pine Island Rd.

A person was the victim of theft – Bicycle on 10/05/2021. The victim stated that an unknown person(s) stole his black Schwinn mountain bike after going inside a gas station to buy lottery tickets. Tot. Est. Loss: $200.

W. Commercial Blvd.

Victims reported an incident of theft on 10/06/2021. Workers said copper wiring was stolen from five street light poles along the 4700 block of W. Commercial Blvd. Tot. Est. Loss: $10,000.

Banyan Ln.

On 10/06/2021, deputies met with a caller about a subcontractor working on the roof and scamming the homeowner out of money for jobs and building supplies he had not done or purchased. Tot. Est. Loss: $32,000.

Arrests

Clarke, Ray 47, was arrested on charges of Attempted Felony Murder on W Commercial Blvd on 10/05/2021.

Goldwire, Angelo Daniel, 37, was arrested on charges of Possession Of PVP (Flakka) on W Commercial Blvd on 10/05/2021.

Adams, William, 22, was arrested on charges of Battery-touch Or Strike on W. Commercial Blvd on 10/07/2021.

Fernandez, Simone, 50, was arrested on charges of Simple Assault-intent Threat To Do Violence on W Commercial Blvd on 10/08/2021.
