The Ford Bronco returns for the 2022 model year unchanged from its debut year. Obviously that's very good news. New buyers will, however, have two new exterior paint colors to choose from, Eruption Green and Hot Pepper Red. But what about pricing? Ford has officially launched the 2022 Bronco build and price configurator and there are a few changes buyers need to know.

To start, there are six trim levels: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, and Wildtrak. All can be had in either two- or four-door bodystyles. Manual fans can rejoice that it can be equipped with on the Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, and Badlands trims.

We already reported 2.3-liter EcoBoost-equipped models with the Sasquatch Package can get that seven-speed manual. A 10-speed slushbox remains a $1,595 option. Broncos with the available 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 only get the automatic. So, what about pricing? The base two-door model gets an $800 price increase, now beginning at $29,300. The now $47,780 Bronco two-door Wildtrak also increase by the same amount. The rest of the two-door models receive $400 increases over last year.

The entire four-door Bronco lineup, with the sole exception of the Wildtrak, receives $250 increases. The Wildtrak remains unchanged at $49,475. A $1,495 destination charge will be added to all 2022 Broncos and is not factored in above.

Ford is currently working extremely hard to fulfill a backlog of Bronco orders and, unfortunately, some new customers could be waiting a while until delivery. The Blue Oval was also forced to recall all hardtop-equipped models due to a build quality issue.

But what we're most excited for - and we don't think we're alone on this - is the Bronco Raptor. The latest reports indicate it'll be unveiled early next year and should be available by next summer. We don't know specific packaging details at this time, but it's fair to assume the hardcore off-roader will come with major suspension and power upgrades. And yes, it'll cost quite a bit more than base models. Figure at least a $50,000 entry price.
