Week 6: Colts vs. Texans, Open Thread

The 1-4 Houston Texans and 1-4 Indianapolis Colts face off in a divisional matchup, as both teams are looking to earn their second win of the season.

Colts’ quarterback Carson Wentz and rookie quarterback Davis Mills meet for the first time as members of each opposing team. While Indy started out red-hot against a tough Baltimore team last Monday, special teams mistakes and late-game struggles on defense ultimately cost them the game in overtime.

Houston, meanwhile, is coming off a strong performance against the New England Patriots but ultimately fell short as their defense struggled to stop another rookie quarterback in Mac Jones towards the end of the game.

Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, who’s known for carving up the Texans, is set to make his season debut and adds another explosive playmaker to a Colts’ offense which has finally started to find its footing over the last few weeks.

The Texans will likely look to lean on veteran wideout Braddon Cooks, as most of the team’s other weapons are unproven. Mills could be in for a rough going, however, as Houston is down multiple starting offensive lineman, including left tackle Laremy Tunsil and veteran right tackle Marcus Cannon.

It should also be noted that Indy has won the last five of six total matchups against its division rival. Both teams are in desperate need of a win, so we’ll have to see whether the Colts or Texans come more prepared.
