The Lions are driving after Goff sprinkles the ball around the field. Second-and-10 just past midfield with 3:57 left. Goff completes two in a row to move the chains. Swift catches another, takes it 14 yards inside the red zone. Swift with an impressive effort on the catch-and-run, nearly breaks through for the touchdown. Swift punches it in on the next snap. St. Brown adds the two-point conversion catch. Bengals 34, Lions 11

Third-and-4 -- defensive pass interference. Referee falls down throwing the flag, that kind of day.
Third-and-11 after some solid run defense from the Lions. Another defensive pass interference call leads to a short Brandon Allen-Auden Tate touchdown. Bengals 34, Lions 3

Goff with two quick passes, one for St. Brown (9 yards) and one for Hockenson (5 yards), moves the chains. Another first down, short look for St. Brown, physical play at the markers. Lions are rushing to the line, and moving it for a change. Goff hit Tom Kennedy for 15 yards, then looked deep for KhaDarel Hodge.
Third-and-9 -- Goff in the gun with Swift to his right, timeout Bengals. Incomplete look for Swift. Lions settle for a field goal, and it’s good. Bengals 27, Lions 3

Bengals open first-and-10 on Detroit’s 22-yard line
-- Mixon opens the final frame with a 22-yard run inside the 5-yard line. Austin Bryant sends them back, though, getting Burrow for a sack and loss of 12 yards. Chris Evans takes another catch 14 yards, making it third-and-goal at the 3-yard line -- Mixon with a nice block, C.J. Uzomah catches the score. Bengals 27, Lions 0
Third quarter
2:30 -- Cincinnati Bengals drive starts on own 5
Joe Mixon show continues, opening with a 4-yard run, getting the offense some breathing room after another nice boot by Jack Fox. Chris Evans moves the chains on the catch-and-run, nice game for the former Michigan standout. Burrow looks deep, and he’s got Chase down there by himself, 53 yards on the completion.
3:32 -- Detroit Lions drive starts on own 19
Another false start, this one on Hockenson. Goff looks downfield (!) and hits Hockenson for the first down off the 23-yard pass. Nice pass over the middle, dropped it over the defender’s head. It’s already third-and-9 at midfield -- incomplete for Amon-Ra St. Brown. Crowd wanted a flag with the rookie receiver hitting the deck.
9:13 -- Cincinnati Bengals drive starts on own 20
The Bengals are pounding the rock with Joe Mixon, slowly chipping away at the field in front of them and the clock. It’s third-and-1 -- first down for Mixon and the offense. First-and-10 near midfield, with less than six minutes in the third quarter.
Burrow hits Tyler Boyd downfield for a gain of 29 yards, with Cincy flirting with the red zone. Nice PBU by Derrick Barnes in the red zone. Third-and-8 -- incomplete. McPherson from 40 yards is good. Bengals 20, Lions 0
10:35 -- Detroit Lions drive starts on own 31
Tom Kennedy with the 28-yard return. Two short completions to T.J. Hockenson and it’s third-and-1 -- D’Andre Swift gets the attempt and is short. It’s fourth-and-1 -- false start on Evan Brown. Wow.
15:00 -- Cincinnati Bengals drive starts on own 25
Joe Mixon opens business with a run of 14 yards. Rough start. It’s third-and-3 after two more runs by the Bengals -- Burrow in the gun, avoids pressure and runs for the first. Another third-down attempt after Alim McNeill explodes through the line to force the incompletion. Mixon gets the carry, and looks to be just short on third-and-short. It’s fourth-and-short at Detroit’s 41 -- Burrows rolls out, hits a wide-open Mixon who goes all the way for the touchdown. Chase with the closing block on Will Harris. Bengals 17, Lions 0

Second quarter
1:21 -- Cincinnati Bengals drive starts on own 24
Burrow and the Bengals come out firing, with Tyler Boyd catching a look for 7 yards. The offense rushes to the line, showing a lot more urgency than the Lions in this spot, with the quarterback throwing it away. Third-and-3 with 53 seconds on the clock -- easy look to Joe Mixon to move the chains. Bengals rush to the line, still have two timeouts, incomplete for Higgins.
Second-and-10 at their own 39 with 28 seconds left -- Tracy Walker read Burrow perfectly and nearly had the interception. Easy look for Chase down the sideline, 24 yards on the pass with Jacobs in coverage. First-and-10 at Detroit’s 26 with 17 seconds left -- Burrow scrambles for 6 yards, gets out of bounds with 11 seconds. Here comes the kicker after a nice pressure by Julian Okwara. Evan McPherson from 38 yards -- is good. Bengals 10, Lions 0
1:47 -- Detroit Lions drive starts on own 28
The Lions ran a toss out of the gun on second-and-10, with Sam Hubbard eating Matt Nelson alive, taking Swift to the turf for a loss of 5 yards. It’s another three-and-out. This offense is brutal to watch.
3:04 -- Cincinnati Bengals drive starts on own 25
It’s third-and-3 after a pair of runs by Joe Mixon, with the Bengals running back nearly losing the ball on his second-down attempt. Jerry Jacobs put his helmet on the ball and knocked it out. Not sure what Burrow saw on that one, threw a quick screen into a swarm of Honolulu blue jerseys.
8:21 -- Detroit Lions drive starts on own 6
Jared Goff hits Kalif Raymond with a quick strike going for 6 yards, getting the offense away from their end zone. Another look for Raymond, who makes a nice diving catch to move the chains.
Drive stalls, it’s fourth-and-1 at the 26-yard line. Offense is on the field, but a timeout is called. Jamaal Williams gets the attempt, moves the chains. Gutsy stuff. Third-and-11 -- Bengals send heat, Goff throws it into the ground.
10:42 -- Cincinnati Bengals drive starts on own 38
It’s third-and-2 for the Bengals after Detroit’s offensive meltdown -- Julian Okwara with the untouched sack. Burrow was empty in the gun and ate one. First of his career.
14:48 -- Detroit Lions drive starts on own 28
Jared Goff hits T.J. Hockenson for the first down, with the Lions inching near midfield. That’s the first new set of downs earned by the offense of the game. D’Andre Swift goes for 8 yards, giving the Lions second-and-2 at midfield. Jamaal Williams goes nowhere, it’s third-and-short -- Williams gets another shot, and get it this time. Nice move through the line on the 6-yard run.
Detroit’s drive faces another third-down, this one third-and-4 from Cincy’s 38-yard line -- Goff in the gun with Hockenson lined up next to him in the backfield. Hockenson ran a wheel out of the backfield. Great call and look by offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn. Goff just couldn’t drop the simple ball in there on third-and-4.
Lions go for it on fourth, Penei Sewell is called for holding as Goff throws it away and out of bounds.
First quarter
1:58 -- Cincinnati Bengals drive starts on own 23
Derick Barnes is all over a screen for Ja’Marr Chase, and it’s third-and-7 in a hurry. Burrow finds Tyler Boyd to move the chains after rolling out, but holding is bringing it back. Lions hold, will get the ball back to open the second quarter.
2:21 -- Detroit Lions drive starts on own 38
The drive opens with a sack for a loss of 10 yards by Trey Hendrickson. Jared Goff hits Amon-Ra St. Brown on the next snap 25 yards downfield, but the officials might be taking a closer look at that one. Ball popped out, Cincy recovered it and are challenging the play -- call is reversed, ruled an interception, fight for possession as the receiver went down.
6:22 -- Cincinnati Bengals drive starts on own 23
Joe Mixon takes a short pass and nearly moves the chains out of the gates. Another touch for the back goes for nothing, another third-and-short for the Bengals.
Burrow throws a nice one to Higgins to move the chains, but offensive holding brings things back, second-and-20 for the Bengals back at their own 23. It’s third-and- 20 -- Amani Oruwariye intercepts the pass off the tip on third-and-20. Returns it deep into Cincy territory. Flags are down -- taunting on Tracy Walker after the pick.
-- Nick Williams walking off the field on his own power after Burrow’s third-down scramble, gets a helmet tap from the Bengals QB on the way off.

Lions run on first down, it’s second-and-10. No gain on Goff’s toss to Hockenson, it’s third-and-10. Three-and-out after Goff leaves another short of the sticks.
12:46 -- Cincinnati Bengals drive starts on own 39
Nick Williams opens the drive with a sack, making it second-and-11. Joe Mixon runs for a short gain and it’s third-and-9 in a hurry. Joe Burrow hits Tee Higgins over the middle, and that’s a first down.
Jalen Reeves-Maybin takes a bad angle, and Mixon makes him pay with an 8-yard run on first-and-10. The Bengals are at Detroit’s 38-yard line. Third-and-5 after Burrow scrambles out of the pocket. Jerry Jacobs, an undrafted rookie, has been trailing Bengals prized rookie Ja’Marr Chase on this drive. Bengals running back Chris Evans scores from 24 yards out, beating Reeves-Maybin in a hurry. The Lions linebacker was guarding Evans tight at the line of scrimmage, all by himself with no help behind, with a simple juke inside doing him in. Bengals 7, Lions 0
14:56 -- Detroit Lions drive starts on own 23
Tom Kennedy returns the kick, with Corey Ballentine on injured reserve. Jamaal Williams opens another game with a carry, adds 3 yards out of the gates. Back-to-back penalties make it second-and-17, Hockenson for illegal formation and Penei Sewell with an ugly false start.
D’Andre Swift makes it third-and-16. Incomplete for Swift. Jack Fox time.
