A 46-year-old Ida Township man was taken to Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio, after he was found unconscious and not breathing in his basement by his 10-year-old son early Thursday morning.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was dispatched about 12:50 a.m. on a medical call from the son to the 13000 block of Todd Rd. A babysitter began cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the victim until Ida Township volunteer firefighters and medical staff from Monroe Community Ambulance arrived and began treating the victim for a drug overdose, the deputy’s report said. Medical personnel from MCA gave the man Narcan to revive him and then took him to the hospital for further treatment, the report said.

Larceny of catalytic converters reported

There were cutting marks found on the other converter, but it was still intact, a deputy’s report said. Another converter was hacked from a 2005 four-door Toyota Prius parked in a driveway in the 3400 block of Butternut St. in Lambertville Oct. 8, causing an estimated $500 damage, authorities said.

Car vandalized at Blue Streak

A Petersburg woman said her 2008 Ford Edge was damaged when her boyfriend, a 31-year-old Petersburg man, punched a headlight on the driver side while the vehicle was parked Thursday afternoon at the Blue Streak Shop in Ida with her children inside.

The suspect allegedly became upset and bashed the headlight about 3:45 p.m., a deputy’s report said. The deputy recommended the woman obtain a personal protection order from the courts to protect her from further incidents.
