The Most Savage KO In MMA History Goes To Tywan Claxton

Was there a better way to introduce yourself on the professional MMA scene than this?

Tywan Claxton made his professional debut at Bellator 186 and came up against Jonny Bonilla-Bowman, and within 90 seconds the featherweight landed an incredible flying knee kick. No really, it was something else.

The move completely KO'd Bowman and as he laid unconscious, Claxton celebrated by climbing on the cage with his arm aloft.

Now this is how you start an MMA career.

It took almost two minutes for Jonny Bonilla-Bowman to return to his corner. He also needed help to leave the cage as the flying knee kick took its toll on the featherweight.

Claxton, who was a 7-0 amateur, actually wished they'd stop replaying his famous win from 2017.

"I wish they'd stop playing this sh*t," he said jokingly.

"I think it was dope, it was cool, the first couple of months that it was out; seeing it on ESPN and all the different places made all the beatings I took with Blackzillians worth it, but that's in the past for me now. I want to be known as more than a one trick pony.

"[In Bellator] you got good strikers, good grapplers, good jiu-jitsu practitioners, but I'm a good MMA Fighter."

Claxton, meanwhile, went onto win four more bouts under the Bellator banner, but he suffered his first professional defeat in his last outing to Emmanuel Sanchez in the opening round of the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix.
