Despite some rainy conditions, area children were able to ride the attractions and play games at the Louisville Lions Club Fair Oct. 5 through Oct. 9.

The annual Lions Club Fair, which was held in the Louisville Lions Club Fairgrounds from Tuesday, Oct. 5, through Saturday, Oct. 9, provided fans of the fair with good food and lots of fun even with all the rain.

"It went great," Lions Club Pres. Joel Cowart said last week. "We had a good turnout Saturday night and Thursday night. On Saturday, we probably had 500 people. Saturday was a good day.

"We just appreciate everybody who came because the money raised goes to charity. We just appreciate the community coming out and having a good time with us."

Cowart said Bingo, a highlight for fair goers, was once again popular.

"People love Bingo" he said. "We give prizes. We buy some; and, some are donated."
