Foxes of Leicester can detail two approximate return dates for important Leicester City defenders, James Justin and Wesley Fofana.

Just like in the above photograph from last season’s campaign, Leicester supporters were jumping with joy again this weekend, finally. The Foxes defeated Manchester United 4-2 in a thrilling King Power encounter. encounter

Jamie Vardy, Patson Daka, Youri Tielemans and Caglar Soyuncu supplied the goals for the home side as United’s defensive issues continue, while LCFC’s own concerns there seem lessened.

You can attribute Leicester’s revival in defence to the much anticipated comeback of centre-back, vice-captain and all-around leader, Jonny Evans. Evans is a consummate professional, and it is also clear that the setbacks during this campaign – not to mention at the end of the previous term – would have decreased, ceased or never arisen if the Northern Ireland international was fit.

A persistent foot problem kept Evans out for mostly all of that time. His return signaled a boost and rejuvenation for Soyuncu too; the Turkish player has been a shadow of his former self recently and obviously needs the now 33-year-old beside him to perform to the higher-than-satisfactory standard Soyuncu maintained.

When Wesley Fofana is available once more, it will be fascinating to see how manager Brendan Rodgers deals with the saturation. Fielding three stars at the back is an option; though Daniel Amartey’s exceptional understudying could keep people out of the team, potentially.

When Leicester City men may return

Again, like this article’s introductory picture atop the piece, hopefully James Justin and Fofana will soon be ready to join the team and shall be ecstatically leaping with their teammates. Rodgers provided an update on that matter not long ago:

"“In terms of JJ [Justin], he’s working so hard. It won’t be too long, the next few weeks, we can see him joining the group around about the next international break. He’ll be a huge plus for us. Wesley [Fofana] is ahead of schedule. He is giving everything to his recovery. Hopefully not long after the Christmas period he could be back, which would be great news for us.”Via Leicester Mercury"
