Chevrolet has confirmed that the 2023 Corvette Z06 will be unveiled to the world on October 26 at 12 p.m EDT.

GM has also revealed there will be a panel discussion after the debut featuring individuals who helped to bring the new Z06 to life.

It is always exciting when a new Corvette variant is introduced and the 2023 Z06 is one of the most eagerly-anticipated models to have launched in recent years. It has all the right ingredients to put European supercar royalty on notice and should offer exceptional performance both on the road and on racetracks.

The heart of the new Z06 will be a motorsport-derived 5.5-liter flat-plane crank V8 that is speculated to produce around 617 hp and 480 lb-ft (651 Nm). However, according to reports it could have over 622 hp, which would make it the most powerful naturally-aspirated V8 in a production car, taking that title away from the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series. Making this engine all the more impressive is the fact that it could rev to 9,000 rpm and will produce a soundtrack more akin to a high-revving Ferrari than a traditional Corvette.

A single photo of the car was recently released by Chevrolet. It revealed a revised front fascia with a new bumper with enlarged air intakes. Additionally, the car sports a unique splitter and sits on a distinctive set of wheels. Other visible changes include new side skirts, revised side air intakes, a new rear bumper with four mid-mounted exhaust pipes, and a big rear wing.
