Everton host West Ham today as the Premier League returns after this month’s international action.

Before the brief break in top-flight football, Everton achieved a 1-1 draw at Manchester United , while West Ham fell to a 2-1 home loss against Brentford in added time.

Those results mean Rafael Benitez’s side entered the gameweek fifth in the standings – level on points with third-placed Man City – and West Ham ninth in the table.

The Hammers will join Everton on 14 points if they can beat the home side here, in what should be an entertaining game.
